In the area of advocacy, Rodriguez served as a co-founder of the Florida 音乐 Education Association (FMEA) Legislative Advocacy Day — an event in which music educators from across Florida gather at the State Capitol in Tallahassee to meet with representatives to discuss legislative points concerning music education. Modeled after the NAfME Capitol Hill Day, this event was the first of its kind by any 澳门赌场玩法官网 and recently celebrated its ninth anniversary.

Rodriguez holds memberships in the College Band Directors National Association, National Association for 音乐 Education, Louisiana 音乐 Educators Association, Florida 音乐 Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, Kappa Delta Pi, 和Phi Kappa Lambda. In his free time, Prof. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and puppy - Clover Noelle.
